boforsNobel has a long history starting at Bofors in 1940th through demerging and acquisitions now belonging to Vishay Intertechnology the world leader in production of weighing and force measurement transducers.

1940 - Bofors starts using strain gages for different applications

strain_gages1960 - Bofors starts using strain gages in load cells

1965 - Develops the KIS load cell (patented)

1981 - Separated to Bofors Electronic (own company)

1985 - Nobel Electronic

1998 - Launches the G3 family of instruments
